Dan believes our immigration system is broken and needs to be fixed.  Unfortunately, politicians in Pierre and Washington have focused on stoking fears instead of putting forward real solutions to fix our broken immigration system.

Dan is committed to working with both parties on a plan that is true to our American values, fair to taxpayers, and rooted in practical solutions like reducing wait times for legal immigration and putting more technology and security on the border.

South Dakota's agricultural economy depends heavily on migrant workers and immigrants. In Pierre, Dan will support good policies that promote a healthy migrant worker program. He will work with our South Dakota service providers to support programs for immigrants as they adjust to a new country.
